What to Expect

This small group will explore many gardens and villages. Expect time on your feet.

This tour will be led by a tour guide and escorted by a trained Master Gardener.

Activity Level:

This is an active but not strenuous tour. Participants can expect to visit two or three gardens or other sites each day, for a daily total of about 3-4 hours of moderately-paced walking (with breaks). Paths may be uneven in places. Many of the gardens are on sloping terrain, so participants should be able to negotiate elevation changes and steps. In many cases, however, there will be benches where one can rest and enjoy the view.

Linda Dietrick:

Linda Dietrick, a retired professor of German Studies and trained Master Gardener, has lived and gardened in Winnipeg since 1988. She’s also a past editor of The Prairie Garden. With her husband Harold, she’s enjoyed three of Sara Williams’ Garden tours and is thrilled to continue what Sara started.
