What to Expect

British Heritage Tours: our priority is you – it’s time to relax in the safe hands of your local experts.

Tour departure guaranteed with a minimum of 8 guest.

Hotel: Guest will stay in a central 4 star hotel. Breakfast included daily. Lunch and dinner additional – time is allotted, try the local cuisine!

Coach: Maximum 40 guest per 50 seater coach – coach size adjusted to number of participants – there will be empty seats for your comfort. Coaches do not offer WiFi on-board – in certain parts of the country, there is little to no coverage and consistency of service as well as doing what we say, is important to us. However, all the included hotels have WiFi available. We carefully plan our itineraries to ensure guests are not travelling on the coach for any more than 3 hours in any one section. Some days will feature more driving than others.

Tour Directors/Guides: We specifically choose our Tour Directors/Guides for their warmth, knowledge, story-telling and overall love of our country. Their primary concern is to ensure you have an outstanding tour while travelling with us, and to ensure your well-being and safety throughout.

Luggage: Space in the luggage compartments of the coaches is limited, and the maximum authorized luggage is one suitcase of up to 30 kg per person. Foldable wheelchairs (under 10kg) can be stored under the coach. A member of your party must be able to lift the wheelchair in and out of the vehicle without the assistance of the driver, guide or one of our team members. Please advise us if you are bringing a foldable wheelchair.

Walking: Our itineraries are a well-balanced mix of walking and enjoying sites from the comfort of your coach or other form of transport (for example some of our tours include a stream train ride, lake cruise or river cruise). The amount of walking can vary, so it is important to bring adequate footwear to ensure your well-being and safety. In some locations the ground can be uneven with cobbled stones, spiral steps or other such terrain.

Day 2London

Your adventure begins with an exciting introduction to our capital city! Your amazing guide will bring the stories, myths and legends of the thrilling ‘two cities’ of London to your life on panoramic tour. Our luxury coaches allow you to travel in comfort with large panoramic windows and we will be stopping along the way to feel the city as well as see it. Enjoy the historic Changing of the Guard ceremony* – a celebratory display of pageantry guaranteed to stir the emotions.

Enjoy free time for lunch in the area of historic Tower Hill. In the afternoon we will visit The Tower of London. This awe inspiring fortress is an incredible survivor of a different era. Step inside and feel the atmosphere of bristling political intrigue and imprisonment all around you. See the recently expanded display of the world famous Crown Jewels following the Coronation of His Majesty King Charles III and The Queen Consort. As well as a guided introduction you will have time to explore.

As you depart the Tower of London, take to the River Thames on board a relaxing River Cruise. You will see London from a different perspective with breath-taking views of its iconic attractions

Your tour ends at Westminster Pier – right in the heart of the capital and close to many attractions including The London Eye, South Bank and Parliament Square. Our tour allows you time to not only visit the Monument but enjoy the world class visitor centre – and its many historic artefacts that give a clue to their ancient past. Take some time to visit the gift shop with its numerous unique items or grab a coffee in the on-site café.

Close by is the medieval city of Salisbury, home to its stunning Cathedral, adorned with its incredible spire. At 123m high it is the tallest in the entire country. On arrival into Salisbury you will be wowed by the sheer size and spectacle of the Cathedral and enjoy a walking tour of the exterior with your Guide before enjoying free time for lunch.

In the late afternoon we visit the stunning setting of Bath and home for the next two nights on your tour. One of the most picturesque parts of the country, Bath has numerous highlights from Pulteney Bridge over the River Avon to the Royal Crescent.

Naturally hot water of up to 46 degrees Celsius rises here every day, as it has for over 2,000 years. Don’t miss the gilt bronze head of the Goddess Minerva – one of the most important finds of Roman Britain.

Following your departure from the Roman Baths, enjoy a live guided walking tour of Bath with your guide including the Royal Crescent, Pulteney Bridge, the Holburne Museum, Sydney Gardens and more.

Guests can enjoy a full afternoon in Royal Windsor, beginning with free time for lunch. Visit one of the many cafes and restaurants in the quaint cobbled streets, serving everything from cream teas to hot lunches.

We reconvene for the final jewel in the crown – a visit to majestic Windsor Castle. The Castle is the oldest and largest occupied in the world and has been home to 40 Monarchs. Marvel at the Gold, see an original Van Dyck painting, discover life in miniature with Queen Mary’s Dolls House… and much more. Ever wanted to attend a Royal wedding? Within the Castle grounds is St. George’s Chapel, a 500 year old medieval marvel and the setting of numerous Royal weddings. It is also the final resting place for many Kings and Queens, including Henry VIII, Charles I and Queen Elizabeth II.
